Fuzzy Ghost Halloween Nail Art

Nothing to Disclose

Don't be scared! It's not real ghosts! They just put on sheets! I love playing around with flocking powder but it's been a really long time. I pulled it out and immediately thought about the easiest Halloween costume, a sheet with eyes cut out!

I wanted to do ghost tips on my nails for my final Funky French manicure with the Nail Challenge Collaborative. I guess I wasn't that original because someone else did an awesome one! Well, I decided it was time for flocking powder! I started with two coats of my favorite black nail polish, China Glaze Haunting which is from the Halloween 2011 collection! My fill line is becoming  a serious problem! :) Then I matted the polish so that my ghosts would pop easier!

With a base white polish, I painted on blobs of white with the brush. It doesn't need to be fully opaque or perfect blobs; they are blobs! Then I painted a coat of top coat onto ONLY the white ghosts, one nail at a time, and dipped my nail into the flocking powder. My flocking powder happens to have iridescent glitter in it and I love it! Lastly, I took Zoya Dovima (because it is already matte) and drew eyes on my ghosts.

I LOVE how these came out and the flocking powder lastly a full 24 hours and tons of handwashing before I had to remove it so I could do other nail art. I'm convinced the powder would have stayed on at least a few more days!
