Paint Box Polish The Knight Bus Collection: Swatches and Review

Press Sample

It's a wonderful Saturday to sit back and check out a new collection from Paint Box Polish which releases TODAY at 12pm EST. This collection is inspired from the Knight Bus scene in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Pam, the creator of Paint Box Polish, is a true fan of Harry Potter so when I see Harry Potter collection from her, I know they are legit. And the creator has given me a coupon code for YOU for 15% off your order while you shop (at the end of the post).

Paint Box Polish The Knight Bus Collection: Swatches and Review

First, I want to show off the presentation of Paint Box Polishes. I love the black and white paper coordinated with the string. For me, it is the little touches like this that make me become a repeat customer.

Won’t The Muggles See Us?: 2 coats. Pam says "This film is saturated with varying shades of blue and grey. This polish is a nod to that. The palest blue is peppered with grey and violet flakies and highlighted with white and blue flecks." I love this color! It is both spring and wintry and the combination of flecks and flakes are wonderful. It reminds me of a robin's egg. I topped it with one coat of top coat.

The Knight Bus: 2 coats. Pam describes this as  a "buttery, blue-leaning purple that is a nod to the emergency transport vehicle itself!" This is the first creme I have tried from Paint Box Polish and YES, just yes.Wonderful application and super shiny. No top coat in these photos! I hope Paint Box Polish makes more cremes because this is top notch!

What ‘Choo Fell Over For?: 2-3 coats. "Did you see the beautiful, dark, glistening asphalt that Harry planted his buns on when the Knight Bus appears out of nowhere? My goal was to recreate that in this polish. A dark grey creme base that is packed with white, blue, and purple flecks." This is a beautiful polish both shiny and matte.  I really love how Paint Box Polish is using flakes and flecks in her polish. She knows what she is doing. I don't love dark polish, but this is one I will definitely reach for!

The Leaky Cauldron:  2 coats. "One of the few places in this film with a warm feel is The Leaky Cauldron. It’s polish is a dusty, warm, dirty orange with linear holo and fiery, copper flecks. Kinda like the tavern itself." The Northeast has been filled with sad clouds, but this polish IS wonderfully holographic. The copper flecks make it perfection for me!

Terrible lighting, but here you can see the holo better!

Pumpkin Juice Cuticle Oil - "A blend of organic apricot kernel, sweet almond, jojoba, and vitamin E oils. It absorbs quickly and provides exactly the right moisture to strengthen nails, prevent peeling, and add needed flexibility. The scent is a pumpkin-based combination that also refreshing and fruity!" Think of apple cider, but pumpkin cider. It's a great balance of sweet and tart. When I smell it, I am also reminded of pumpkin candles. I love it! You can purchase it in a roller ball, or a pen below. I like the preciseness of the pen.
