Halloween Nail Art: Glowing Pumpkin Nail Art at The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze

Partial Press Sample

I have such a fun post for you today! There is an event about 40 minutes north of New York City, around the town of Sleepy Hollow, that features over 7,000 hand-carved and illuminated pumpkins.  I always wanted to go but never planned ahead despite the event selling out so quickly. This year, I ordered my tickets back in August! I decided my nails needed to glow like the event! So I hope you don't mind me sharing some highlights of the pumpkins!

I was inspired by a manicure from Wondrously Polished! I loved how glowy the pumpkins were. I started with two coats of Zoya Arizona and let that dry.  Then I dabbed on Zoya Willa and added Paint Box Polish Axe fight for some sparkle. Using a variety of colors, I painted on my pumpkins. I finished it off with bat glitter from Sinful Colors Got a Bat Attitude and white dots. Lastly, I added matte glitter so the pumpkins would glow!

Now for some non-nails! I wanted to share some of my favorite pictures from The Blaze. I took over 400 pictures, so it was hard to narrow down. How awesome are these pumpkins? And yes, the majority are real! Staff go through the pumpkins every day and check for rotting ones. They have people re-carving the entire season! I left the photos big, so enlarge them!

One of my favorite was the planetarium. It was hundreds of pumpkins lining a barn ceiling. The light show was amazing.
