Christmas Plaid and Hollies Nail Art

Press Sample

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! I'm squeezing in this post while some cookies are cooling because this is my current mani, and the one that I'll be wearing for the next days. I love how it came out! I did my entire manicure with this pattern!

I was inspired by a manicure I saw on Pinterest, which I then tracked down to an Instagram page, nails_in_style. It looks like this page is no longer active, but here's the credit! She has some super cute designs on her page! Of course, you know me, and I had to mix it up and put my own spin on it!

I started with a base of KBShimmer One Night Sand. I wanted a sparkly, glittery base to this look. I initially was going to use Whiskey Business but I liked the more copper tone of One Night Sand.

Then I used Zoya Willa to do two vertical and horizontal lines. Then I created my hollies with Girly Bits It's Near Leaf Fall, Zoya Wyatt, and OPI My Boyfriend Scales Wall. The red berries are Zoya Ming with a small accent of OPY My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

I love this! My overall look ended up looking pretty different than what inspired me. I just love the sparkly base against the cremes. And my hollies are a tad bigger haha.

Well I hope you have a wonderful holiday! Don't eat too many cookies!

  3. That base is perfect - looking at it solo, I wouldn't have thought to use it as a holiday base, but it's spot on. This is gorgeous!
